Leave your modern day stresses and strains behind, and  re-awaken the child in you. 

Enjoy the simple pleasures of being outdoors and learning new skills. 

Where else can you learn how to create a bow and arrow and build camp fires without the neighbours thinking you have lost it.  These are great activities for parents and children.

What you Need

The course is outdoors and so outdoor gear is essential. In Scotland this means warm and waterproof gear even in summer.  Good sturdy shoes or welly boots plus midge repellent

  • Fire Lighting Techniques 
  • Cooking techniques - cook your nettles and dandelions etc
  • Building a makeshift shelter
  • Water Filtration

  • Axe and Knife Work
  • Building camp accessories (Seats/windbreaks/pot stands)
  • Wilderness Navigation
  • Even make your very own tools - bow and arrows, catapults and hammers
  • Tracking
  • Trapping
  • Foraging

 

 Youth Parties

Included in the price is a baked potato, beans, orange juice (optional: Nettle Soup, Roasted Dandelion & Spruce tea)

Right from the word go there there will be some task requiring a team effort like transporting our water to the base camp where we have a short safety briefing before we enter the forest. There are then a number of tasks to be undertaken in small groups :-

 Fetch logs and fire wood

Fix the wind break

Nature Trail

We shall then take an adventure trek  winding up though the forest observing and learning on the way.

Finding natural Rope

Picking Spruce Needles

Gathering Nettles

A camp fire shall be lit and the bake potatoes cooked along with the beans and if time allows:-

Fires can be lit

Logs can be chopped

Bows and arrows can be shot

Games can be played

And of course the Marshmallows
